We deliver a range of training courses aimed at all levels of personnel involved with the administration and management of member-directed pensions, most notably Sipp and SSAS schemes.
Courses that we have delivered range from a regulatory overview for Sipp operators delivered to the senior management of firms through to introductory administrator training through to client money rules for pension providers. The training can be tailored to the audience, based on knowledge levels and the firm’s requirements. This usually takes place at the client’s premises and tends to work best in groups of up to eight to encourage delegate participation. The range of topics includes technical and regulatory matters which can be tailored to suit your firm’s requirements.
The format of the training is usually through a PowerPoint presentation that includes plenty of discussion and exercises amongst the delegates; in most cases PDF copies of the slides, exercises and back-up material (where applicable) are supplied. If required a validation test can be incorporated. The training is delivered by a member of the Enhance team, all of whom are subject-matter experts in SIPP/SSAS.
Examples of previous training include:
- background and life-cycle of SIPP and SSAS for new entrants;
- more specialist training such as pension related investment rules for more experienced administrators;
- combating financial crime; and,
- regulatory obligations including ‘what can go wrong’, aimed at senior management functions.
The fee will reflect the scope of the training and the customisation required.
